The Hotel Pazo O Rial once again became the stage for a new edition of the Social Ride organized by Galician Gravel Cycling, an event that brings together gravel and adventure cycling enthusiasts to discover some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Rías Baixas.
The day began with a welcome coffee at the hotel before participants set off on a route designed to enjoy the territory at a relaxed pace and in a friendly atmosphere. Far from competition, this Social Ride offers an experience where sport, nature, and local gastronomy become the true protagonists.
An experience between nature and vineyards
The route crossed secondary roads, rural paths, forest trails, and vineyards of the Val do Salnés, offering a perfect combination of landscapes and technical sections typical of gravel riding. Among the highlights were passing through the Albariño Route, crossing the Umia River, and ascending the emblematic Monte Lobeira, one of the region's best-known natural viewpoints, from where participants enjoyed privileged views over the Rías Baixas.
True to the adventurous spirit that characterizes Galician Gravel Cycling, the route included small technical challenges, descents, tunnels, and trails that added excitement to the ride without losing the social character of the event. The activity was carried out in full compliance with traffic regulations and was registered with the Spanish Cycling Federation, also including civil liability and accident insurance for all attendees.
A hotel to discover Galicia on two wheels
After completing the route, the cyclists returned to the Hotel Pazo O Rial to share an aperitif in a relaxed atmosphere, bringing a perfect end to a day marked by sport, camaraderie, and the discovery of the natural and wine-growing environment of the Val do Salnés.
With initiatives like this, Pazo O Rial continues to strengthen its commitment to active and experiential tourism, consolidating itself as a benchmark for cycling tourism lovers looking to discover Galicia in a different way.
Its privileged location, surrounded by natural scenery and very close to some of the best routes in the area, makes the hotel the ideal place to enjoy getaways that combine sport, heritage, and gastronomy.
The collaboration with Galician Gravel Cycling allows for the continued promotion of activities that highlight the territory, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and bring visitors and residents closer to the scenic and cultural richness of the Rías Baixas on two wheels.
